As a DBA, you are
responsible for configuring a listener using the “Net Manager” tool.
Your job responsibilities dictate that you should at least be informed of

Hands-On 10 (Configuring a Listener using the "Net Manager" tool)
Description:
In this exercise we will learn how to add, modify, view and configure

a listener by using the "Net Manager" tool.
We will learn also where to enable and disable the "logging" and
"tracing" files.
--Start
Open the Net Manager tool.

Expand the "Local" item.

Expand the "Listeners" item.

Highlight the listener and click on the CREATE icon.

Enter the new listener name and click Okay.

Add a listener's "Location address."

The MYLISTERNER listener will be on the HOMESER server and will listen to port number 1526.

On the "General Parameters" option, in the "Logging & Tracing" tab
you can disable or enable logging.

You can also, disable or enable tracing.

In the "Database Services" option, add the databases to the listener.

The Global Database Name and System identifier is SCHOOL.

Browse through your options.

Listeners.
