How to test that the Oracle Identity Management infrastructure installation installed all the components successfully

(LESSON12)

To test whether all the components successfully are installed and are functioning properly from Oracle Enterprise manager Application Serve Control, open Oracle Enterprise Manger Application Server control using browser.

First, view the “portlist.ini” file to note the port to use to access to the URL of the Oracle Enterprise manager Application Server Control and then open a browser window and enter the URL.

For example:

http://<hostname>.<domainname>:port

http://myserver.iselfschooling.com:1810

You are prompted for a log in. Enter ias_admin In the user Name field. Enter the ias_admin password as specified during the installation, and click “Next.”

Once you logged in to Oracle Enterprise manager Application Server Control, you will see your stand-alone Oracle Application Server instance named myapp. Click the Infrastructure instance myapp.<hostname>.<domaninname> to view the various components installed.

In the “Fram” screen, you will see the state of all the system components in your infrastructure instance.

You can navigate through your application by using the Home, J2EE Application, Ports, and Infrastructure tabs.  You can stop or start all your application components. You can check the application server’s CPU Usage and Memory Usage.

In the “System Components” section, you should see all your installed components such as the HTTP_Server, OC4J_SECURITY, oca, OID, Single Sign-On:orasso, and Management instances. You can start, stop each or all components. Each component can be enabled or disabled. Not only you can configure each component but also you can create or delete an OC4J instance.
