Oracle WebLogic Architect/Administrator

 

Location: Old Town Alexandria, VA 

(Walking to King Street Station-Blue and Yellow lines)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The applicant is responsible for designing and implementing the Oracle application servers to support to the client.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Seeking a professional WebLogic Architect/Administrator experienced in the following areas: 

(1) Architecting high-availability WebLogic infrastructures

(2) Implementing COTS packages on WebLogic

(3) Architecting and implementing disaster recovery environments and procedures for mission critical applications. 

(4) Installing, patching and maintaining the WebLogic software

(5) Deploying J2EE applications to WebLogic application server;

(6) Troubleshoot issues related to the application server and underlying technology stack;

(7) Remediation of security issues pertaining to the application server and software applications.

 

Experience

 •Minimum of five years of hands-on experience as an Oracle WebLogic Architecture supporting a three-tier (web, application, and database) IT infrastructure.

•Knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence is a plus.

•In depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion ESB

•Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science;

•3+ years experience working within a project team with diverse technical skill sets;

•3+ years prior experience with a shared services operating environment;

•Must be clearable, security clearance preferred;

•Ability to establish and manage priorities.

 

**Job requires on call hours evenings and weekends and generally requires more than 40 hours per week.**

 

Education

• College degree or equivalent work experience

 

Clearance

Must be clearable, security clearance preferred.

 

Contacts:

Daily work assignments shall be coordinated with and status reported to the Chief, Division of Technology Services.

 

Hours:

The basic work hours shall be as stated in the Contract, however, special assignments may require periodic adjustments to accommodate the schedules of the clients. This may include early morning, late evening and some weekend work.
