Description:
This individual will support our clients by modifying, creating and
tuning databases and active server web pages that report and track
the status of group activities. The DBA will primarily be setting
up, programming or adjusting servers using Linux with PHP/MySQL,
Joomla, Java and Apache/Tomcat web servers. Must be able to
create, tune and modify, and set up Web interfaces on servers. Java
experience is a plus. Must document all work and provide
general instruction of primary users.
Responsibilities:
•
Database administration and creation.
• Configuration assistance to Engineering and site.
• Site-specific design support.
• Continuous monitoring of operations during installations to
ensure minimal impact.
• Equipment installation, configuration and issue management
during installation.
• Site performance checks and post-installation monitoring.
• Support and Engineering follow-up.
• Monitor and recommend process changes.
Experience
The
following are minimum qualifications required for this position.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience in
a similar position programming, installing and configuring databases
with Web interfaces and suitable interpersonal and analytical
skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary.
• Proficient knowledge of Linux, Microsoft office, PHP, MySQL and
general database administration required.
• Highly self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, strong sense
of ownership, drive to learn and master new technologies, and the
ability to work in a highly dynamic environment.
**Job requires on call
hours evenings and weekends and generally requires more than 40
hours per week.**

Daily work assignments
shall be coordinated with and status reported to the private company
project manager.
Hours:
The basic work hours
shall be as stated in the Contract, however, special assignments may
require periodic adjustments to accommodate the schedules of the
clients. This may include early morning, late evening and some
weekend work.
